"If you study hard, you will get a good grade next time."
We usually use the expression "next time" in the sentence above.
However someone says to me that "the next time" is ok, too.
Is that really ok?
If that is ok, what is the difference between "next time" and "the next time"? |

You can say either "next time" or "the next time" in this sentence, and often.
The next time / Next time we meet, let's play chess.
The first time I saw snow, I was thrilled, but the next time [not next time] I was just dreading the inconvenience. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
