Don't talk bloody nonsense!
It's all right to hate America but it is not OK to allow your hatred to blind you to the truth.
What about Chechnya?
What about Rwanda?
What about the three wars in which the 300 million Arabs tried to wipe out 7 million Israelis?
What about all the nasty little African wars?
What about Kashmir.
Etc., etc..
In almost every war today Muslims are involved.

ahm, no, it's not okay to hate America. it's okay to hate or not to like the policy of USA, at the most.

and i don't agree with you, that america = war. firstly, i think you mean just the USA because middle and south america is politically not very active or important or whatever.
secondly, if you really think that if the USA weren't there then the world would be in peace then you're very naive. there are so many people in the world, in some country there would be another bush who thinks he's the leader of the world. i also think that it's quite independent of who actually is the leader of USA but it mostly depends on how the other countries like europe, china, japan, react to the actions of USA. for example, in the iraq war the USA clearly broke the rules of the UNO and what did the other countries do?! that's like threatening a child and then not doing what you've said. totally inconsistent..

greets

Let's also not forget that the two major world wars of the previous century began as conflicts unrelated to America.

Look, I don't agree with a lot of the Bush Administration's policies (actually, I hate them, especially as a Canadian), but while America has done a lot of stupid things, it has also done a lot of good things. Those just usually aren't known. But even if not, even if America wasn't here, there would still be war. Unfortunately, the human race is still in its infancy, and there will be war for awhile. I just hope one day we can all grow up Smile

I don't have any intense feelings for America( I mean US) so far.

oF COURSE, US always bullies some Meddle East countries for oil. that's for sure. but what I care about is another conception: American people. of whom I have known are very nice and friendly.

They teach me English patiently, and they are always so funny and frank.

If the USA hasn't made some stupid wars, nobody would hate the country.

Technically this is true, none of the so-called "democracies" are pure 100% democracies but rather some form of democratic Republic. The people democratically choose their representatives by voting for a party from a selection of parties (the European parliamentary system) or an individual representative of that party (the system used in the U.S.).

Technically, still yes. The Secretary of __whatever__ (State, Interior, Defense, etc.) is an employee of the leader of the Executive branch of the government. The Commander in Chief of the Executive branch is selected by a vote of the people. If the people don't like the job performance of the Commander in Chief's employees, the people can collectively choose not to renew the 4-year employment contract of the Commander in Chief or his political party.

Ack! Shocked What? Crying or Very sad
Hey, I've been busy! We just had our holiday of Thanksgiving. Lots of family time, lots of traveling, lots of feasting.
Next weekend is busy too with an eye doctor appointment, 2 Christmas parties, and tickets to see CATS. Oh yeah, and we need to buy a Christmas tree and baby furniture. I need a vacation from my vacation! Don't hate me, pity me. I could use some of element's hometown beer.

Hi!!!!

Well, Stellara has gone straight to the point. United States is, indeed a good country, though its presidents and others have tried to ruin it. It's quite a shame because it is the most powerful country in the whole world and it has done many good things to improve it.

I really think George Bush is the worst thing that has ever happened to the United States. He decided to send his army to Iraq and murder and torture as many people as he could. But he wasn't happy at all: he wanted more! He needed the US people to support him, so he began frightening everybody by telling them a bunch of horrible and nasty lies. George Bush is a hypocrite, a man who thinks that a war is just more fame and just winning!! He is definitely not able to rule the most powerful country in the world. He is not able to save his country from a huracane but but his is able to destroy other country and to kill his own soldiers and to kill the parents of the kids in Iraq and even to kill the kids.

He said the US was threaten by terrible things, well he was quite right on that, because he, himself is the THREAT!!!!

"It's amazing I won. I was running against peace, prosperity, and incumbency."
George W. Bush, June 14, 2001.
speaking to the Swedish Prime Minister Goran Perrson, unaware that a live television camera was still rolling.

*No comment on that!*

Bye!!! Wink

that's not true. the killing is not about the oil. i'm not saying that i agree with everything that happens in America, but we're not in Iraq only to murder and steal oil from anyone. i don't like political discussions...i only clicked on this discussion because it's about my home country. i don't think that it's fair or intelligent to accuse anyone of such things without knowing every fact from every side of a story. thanks for sticking up for us, stellar! i love germany!! iitimone7
