A road can be either open or closed. If you cite the sentence in which you found the word, the meaning will be a lot clearer. In other words I would like to know the context in which the word is used. |

Thank you for more info, but it still does not tell me much to go on.
Consider the following example:
Bold, beefy Boots with a Texas-sized hankering for the open road. For over a century, Harley-Davidson� has made freedom roar with the finest motorcycles in the world. To match the machine, here come some of the finest Harness Boots around. So whether you have a passion for the open road or just like wearing a bold Boot with tons of style, here you go.
I think they are talking about passion about riding motorcycles on unobstructed and wide open roads. |
