and
which one is correct
ring shape or ring shaped

I'm not sure about the first sentence, because "is" doesn't make sense there. One possibility could be "I checked it in a dictionary, I am sure."

For the ring question: They can both be used, but in different ways. "Ring shape" acts as a noun: "The bird's nest had a ring shape." "Ring-shaped" (often hyphenated) acts as an adjective: "The cakes were ring-shaped."

actually I mistype it , it was "this" not "is"

You need the past tense: I checked this in a dictionary. I am sure.
