Hi everybody!!
It's been ages since I visited this forum last. I have not been on line for quite a while. My good greetings to you all. Please accept my regards and best wishes.

And here is my new question.
I would like to know if there is any spelling rules for the words below.

*Expend=expenditure
*Mix = Mixture
[why is a 'T' there in noun forms of the words above?]

Apologetical [Why is a 'T' their in the adjective form of apology]

*Editorial
why is is editoRIAL and not editoRAL?

*Panicking
Is there any rule to put a K for the 'ing' form?

Thank you

Hi Babu,

Nice to see you again.

All I can speak about is panicking. The few English verbs that end with a vowel and then a "c" (and I think all of them probably end in "ic") need the "k" with "-ing" (and "-ed") to preserve the hard "c" sound. Otherwise, it would look like it should be a soft "c" sound... Almost always, "c" or "g" followed by "i" or "e" is a soft sound. Otherwise, it is a hard sound.

Hope that helps a little, at least.
