Propaedeutic Esperanto in elementary? Italy right or wrong?

Post by Machjo » Sun Jul 29, 2007 3:10 pm

I'd found this English translation of a 1993 decree from the Ministry of Public Instruction of Italy:

http://www.internacialingvo.org/public/study.pdf

It's a long, detailed document explaining the Ministry's official stance on Esperanto, allowing elementary schools to teach Esperanto as a propaedeutic to further foreign language instruction.

Do yo think such a policy is a move in the right direction? Why or why not?
