Last last week....

Post by Lorikeet » Wed May 11, 2005 1:03 am

Well, I've heard "last last week" before, but I always thought it was "wrong" (whatever that is ;) ). I use "the week before last" and thought that was "correct" (whatever that is ;) ). However, yesterday I heard a news commentator use "last last week" instead. Now I am forced to rethink! Again! Is this a regional thing, a new change, or am I just a fossil? ;)

It's one of those annoying things that has entered my lexicon through being around students, and trying to grade my language all the time.

The longer I do this job, the less I know what's what!
