Happy News

Post by revel » Sat May 21, 2005 11:34 am

Good afternoon, all!

I have happy news to share. And noting the missing Larry Latham without knowing whatever happened to him (I've not been an avid visitor in the last couple of months....) I thought that some of you who have shared thoughts with me would appreciate this information as well.

I'm buying a house and moving out of the small town I've been living in for four years. This is happy news, it is the culmination of 15 years of preparation, quest, searching, finding out about, etc....I'll be about 25 kilometers from my job, which means that I will be concentrating on other interests that fortunately have little or nothing to do with the subject that will be simply paying my mortgage. It's a cute little brick house overlooking a resevoir with a nice piece of land where lettuces will soon be growing along side the radishes. The cats will certainly be frollicing and I'll be seeing the migration of the cranes every year in first person, pues, this is one of their stopping places.

I won't be having internet in my home, which I am also looking forward to, and so may seem to disappear, as at work I hardly spend more than ten minutes in front of a computer. But Dave's is bookmarked at work and if I haven't got access at home, I'll have some at work, so I won't be becomming a hippy 100%. It's that my new house doesn't have a telephone and there's little likelyhood that it will ever have one, so cell phone only and the computer goes back to being an expensive and complicated typewriter.

So, this is a swan-song post. Hope to be in the new house in July.

Thanks for your thoughts and comments these months that we have shared.

peace,
revel.

Aw, we'll miss you Revel, but it's nice to hear that it's for a good reason.

And can't you connect to the Internet from a cell phone these days? ;)

You're in Spain aren't you. Nice, but a little cold in winter.

Look into two way satellite connection for the internet. You'll need something to do for winter.
