gold card

Post by Itasan » Tue Feb 14, 2006 4:55 am

I have a gold card. It is a driver's license given to a driver who is without any violations for an extended period of time. It's funny because I have lots of dents on my car and I have driven over the speed limit a number of times (just between you and me). Still funnier is that a friend of mine who is almost unable to drive has a gold card because he has been without accidents (because he has not driven over five years).

Anyway, do you have such a card and is it called a 'gold card'?

Thank you.

Gold card, without any context, would be a gold credit card. Usually given to credit card holders who have a good record for a few years, is has a higher credit limit. Also requires a certain salry level.
Higher salary and good credit record can lead to promotion to Platinum card.

If a context is given - gym memership, store card, then gold usually means higher status of membership.

Nothing for vehicle insurance (yet) that I am aware of.
