kids songs or lesson ideas
Ive been given a list of topics to teach at school . One of them is 'Greetings'. I just cant think of many ways to make this fun. Does anyone have any ideas or know any songs that i could teach using greetings?

1. Make a handout with a list of famous names, jobs from various social levels, relationships (friend, father) etc. At bottom of handout give examples of greetings for different levels of politeness.
2. Make name tags corresponding to the names/positions on the handout.
3. After you've presented the language, give out the name tags randomly... one per student, check students know who their character is. Give handouts. Students mingle to find and greet everyone else on the handout. Maybe they can write down the greeting given to them by each person.
4. In groups, discuss whether they were greeted at the right level of politeness for their character.
5. Feed back to whole class.
I haven't tried it, let me know if you do and if so how it went.
