vanity mirror

From "Rain" by Stephen Gallagher:

The trash, getting ready to protest at this change in plans and then his jaw dropping at his first sight of Lucy; getting into the cab with him, knowing what she was doing but somehow feeling that she was watching it all from somewhere else.
Looking into the taxi 's vanity mirror.

Questions:
1. Is this vanity mirror in front of the back passenger seat?
2. Is 'driving mirror' used in contrast to 'vanity mirror (makeup mirror)? Or are there any other mirrors than those inside a car?

Thank you.

There is a small mirror inside the sun visor (front passenger side) that is a vanity mirror.

Oh, I see. I have just found it in my car. Thanks. Do you call it 'makeup mirror' also?

Yes, Itasan, I might also call a vanity mirror a 'make-up mirror'.
