aid friendship

Post by Itasan » Fri Oct 28, 2005 10:57 am

ENKO
Literally 'friendship with aid'.
It's a shame to post this question, but this
word is pretty prevalent in our country.
"sex or quasi-sex with generally middle-aged men in return for cash handouts"
It's a euphemism for prostituion I think, but in this
case, the aid receiver is a minor in most cases.
Is there any such euphemism in English?
Thank you.

it may not be exactly the same thing, but we have the term "sugar daddy" for older men who give younger women material things in exchange for sex. Usually a girl will have just one such"daddy" at a time.

Shouldn't posts like the one from our Polish friend (above) be deleted?

Indeed. If you see a post that is inside a discussion, there is a good chance I won't catch it. That's what the ! at the side of the post is for. If you click that, you "report" it, and I will see it listed. (Thanks to Tiger Tiger for bringing this one to my attention.) There has been a rash of porn postings recently, as well as a lot of spam. I'm doing the best I can. If it is obvious in the title, I will most likely catch it. If it's inside an ongoing thread, I might miss it. Thanks for the help.

Hi

Oops, sorry, I hadn't noticed the "!" before. And I hadn't noticed posts such as the one that used to be here :D before either. So, obviously you're doing a great job of keeping up with the junk. My compliments!

Thanks for the tip.

Amy
