Here's a site to tell you all of the holidays in the USA. Did you really want to celebrate all of them? and why just the USA?

http://www.holidays.net/dates2007b.htm

I always like this site for actitives.

The only holidays I'd talk about are New Year, Valentine's Day (just a short explanation of how we celebrate), Easter, St. Patrick's Day (also just a short explanation), Memorial Day (again, short explanation so they know why we don't have school), Fourth of July, Labor Day (short explanation) Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Most holidays are not very important. I didn't include any Jewish or Muslim holidays, because where I teach is all Christian. If there were any Jewish or Muslim students (or of other religions), then I would incorporate them.
