				| I want to start some DIY projects but need things like lumber and nails and stuff. Is there a big box home improvement store in Riyadh? Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Readers from outside US would not know what "Home Depot" is. Why assume that we are all familiar with the way things are in the former colonies ?

Spell out what you want in simple words for us witless folk ! Some of us did not escape from Hanoverian tyranny when you did ! |

ca'mon Scot47!

You need to learn to develop your inference skills. You should be able to connect lumber, nails and stuff to hardware thus making the connection home improvement(Home Depot)=hardware store, even if you didn't know what DYI stood for you could still make a reasonable guess based on the information the OP provided. OR you could have just googled it

I think you're just playin for a fight |

Not to mention that Scot always does the same thing with his occasional obscure UKian/Scotlandian references...

				| They have the Simpsons everywhere - even in barbarous Turkey where they have been in the news recently. Home Depot is to be found only in the US |

				| Within the Labour Movement (or LABOR if you prefer) there was a joke. An International Union is an American Union with one branch in Canada. |

The Simpsons were/are on TV all over the world. A mutual friend of Scot and me, who happened to be Irish, was a HUGE Simpsons fan and was shocked that I had never watched it.

And of course, in the Gulf, everyone has Sat TV which provides programs from all over the world.

If someone is a devotee of "The Simpsons," he/she should know about Homer Depot - oops, excuse me, Home Depot:

Homer: So why didn't you marry one of your crummy backup dancers?

Tabitha Vixx: They're day laborers. We pick them up in the Home Depot parking lot.

Home Depot: The commercial for "Dome Depot" is a parody of the store Home Depot.

Regards,

John |
