I am thinking of my options. I have not started my new contract renewed and some things changed like housing and I would like to try my lucking finding another job. Was wondering what happens if I just leave for the summer and look for other jobs. Does my current employer have to cancel my FEC and I assume they will cancel my visa. I am in shenzhen which is strict are you blacklisted what is the procedure other than paying the 1,000usd my contract says.

How many schools and contracts have you broken/jumped/didn't finish? I remember reading one of your earlier posts and you seem to jump around quite a bit.

On a side note, have you considered returning home to work or try your luck somewhere else?

Just from reading your earlier posts, China may not be a good fit for you.

In my experience, your best ally when breaking, is your new school.
To jump without another job lined up is the worst case scenario - that is if you are continuing in China.

Murray is right. China is not for you. You will soon be blacklisted if you keep hopping around from one job to another.

I got an entire month of salary garnished due to leaving a contract early. Worked out well for me, I ended up... very quickly... in a job that paid twice what I was making before. Nice.

Have no regrets about dumping my previous employer. They weren't good employers, had a number of very frustrating experiences with them.

I have left one since I was going to school and told them. The other one did not give me the 18 hours in my contract but rather 28 so I left there as well. I then worked at a university that agreed to pay roundrip airfare but later precluded this from this contract. So I had a problem with this....so moral of this story is I don't play with my money or time...also after I left all these places several complaints were filed...I always talk to a current teacher and after I arrive they tell me how much they hate the job. I think it has just been bad luck. This job gave me a visa for only 3 months so not much time to consider if I want it since it took them 1 month to find me a job so I worked at my job for 2 months. Some esl people have no lives.
