You're not the first to essentially suggest that the EFLers of the world Should Unite:-) (at least to some extent).

But it's highly unlikely to be a practical endeavor, unfortunately. This is partly an effect of the highly individual context of the majority of schools, and partly that there are simply no 'global' or even many international laws respecting visas and housing and etc.

Teachers are perceived as being fairly replaceable, so there's little incentive at the national level to provide support/benefits at any level above individual schools. This is likely also true in your home country.
