it's unfortunate that he died so young. it's also unfortunate that his posts were often inflammatory, insulting, aggressive, etc, and that i can't say i will miss them. i'm sure he was nicer in person.

If by " inflammatory, insulting, aggressive" you mean calling a spade a spade, then Bruce was guilty as charged. In any case, it's worth remembering that he took as much as he gave. And yes, he was a nice guy in person....

I, too, miss his presence here. He didn't flame for the sake of flaming--he always had a very good point (or counter-point) to make.

Um, perhaps he meant civil - as in civil war. But good heavens, if " Telling @rseholes the way life is " is your mission, I fear you may have another full-time job on your hands.
