Is there anyone here that eats Natto without being dared? If so what are your favorite ways to eat it? |

My son loves the stuff, but he is only 2. He was born in Japan, so that might explain it. |

It really is the quintessential kids food, isn't it? It has all the elements: gooey, gummy, stringy, fun to play with.. and of course, DELICIOUS!
Regrettably, now back in Canada, I can't find fresh natto in the local Japanese grocer. They have it in the freezer, but I'm not about to gamble on a natto that has travelled such a long journey, then needs to be defrosted.
If anyone knows a good home recipe for the stuff.... |

I hate that stuff. Its flavor would best be described as the vomit of Satan. I'd rather stick myself in the neck with a fork than ever taste that stuff again. To each his own though. |

Be my guest, sinner, BURN in anti-natto hell! |

There's nothing wrong with the freezer variety if you ask me... provided it is properly thawed to room temperature before consumption so the full flavour can be enjoyed. |

I used to enjoy natto a few mornings a week. I would mix it with rice, minced garlic, dijon and spicy mustard. |
