Is there anyone here that eats Natto without being dared? If so what are your favorite ways to eat it?

Yup. Unfortunately there are. Some guy named Eric posted the identical thread you did a while back here:

My son loves the stuff, but he is only 2. He was born in Japan, so that might explain it.

It really is the quintessential kids food, isn't it? It has all the elements: gooey, gummy, stringy, fun to play with.. and of course, DELICIOUS!

Regrettably, now back in Canada, I can't find fresh natto in the local Japanese grocer. They have it in the freezer, but I'm not about to gamble on a natto that has travelled such a long journey, then needs to be defrosted.

If anyone knows a good home recipe for the stuff....

I hate that stuff. Its flavor would best be described as the vomit of Satan. I'd rather stick myself in the neck with a fork than ever taste that stuff again. To each his own though. Very Happy

There's nothing wrong with the freezer variety if you ask me... provided it is properly thawed to room temperature before consumption so the full flavour can be enjoyed. Smile

I used to enjoy natto a few mornings a week. I would mix it with rice, minced garlic, dijon and spicy mustard.
