I have a general question that I couldn't seem to find covered on here. I am about to begin work in Changhua, and would like to open a Citibank account at the branch nearest to there. Then, I am going to have a family member open an account of their own back in the U.S. Question: will it be possible to transfer between these accounts without wiring, and stuff like that?
thanks you! |

Very unlikely. Probably Citibank in Taiwan is not the same bank as Citibank in the US. It is a corporate logo used for a collection of different banks partially owned by Citibank. That is my guess.
Its not expensive to transfer money and you'll probably just want to bank at a Taiwanese bank close to your home or school. I can't imagine there is a Citibank in Changhua, but I could be wrong.
Go for convenience. |

Yup....I do all my banking with the Bank of Kaohsiung, and they are fine. I have ATM service, and I can transfer money directly to my bank account back home in Canada with no more than a 2 day turn-around time. I dont know whats available in your town, but you wont find many North American banks here. |
