hi,
I just got a job offer to teach in Taiwan and I need to know if my criminal history will keep me from obtaining a visa.
I have a poss. of marijuana charge from over 5 years ago in which i got a deferred judgment on. So it's technically not a conviction. This was enough to deny me a work visa for S. Korea, but I am hoping Taiwan is less strict.
Also, the job offer is from Hess. Is there anything I should know about this company?
Thanks |

Hess?
You might want to do a search on that company name, I've never heard of that one before. Seems sketchy. |

Hi,
Having a criminal record does not stop you getting a work permit of visa for Taiwan. However, we at Hess do require you to provide us with a criminal background check. Please just let just know.

HunterORL23 - Big Wally's comments were said with, sigh, sarcasm. Don't read every comment anyone makes at face value.
Secondly, why does Hess get put down? Check out the threads on this site and then you'll appreciate the context. |
