i am thinking of taking the online tesol certificate. i want to know if anyone has taken it and got good replies back from employers. i heard mixed responces about taking it online. i want to because i work a full time job and it is alot cheaper. my destination i want to start in is mexico. thanks!!! |

Unless your course involves teaching practise, then it's not as good as a normal course. in my opinion. |

I'm DoS for one of the biggest global EFL providers.I can tell you that any decent employer will not look kindly on an on-line training qualification at entry level.
It's imperative to do the CELTA or Trinity TESOL.
Do not accept anything less - it's a waste of time and money. |

Biggest doesn-t always mean the best. Second SIT is also a good one. Third there are heaps of generic courses that are good as well. |

OP, there's a reason the online course is cheaper. Save up and do the real thing. It will stand you in much better stead.
Regarding which real thing to do...check out the thread on the topic of online certs.
