I have worked for various schools in SEA for eight years and I'll be arriving for employment in China on 15th June 2009.

It's a shame that most people post in such a fashion, naming and shaming a school, branch or more to the point a business regardelss of their situation. I've had problems in the past working for a school in Thailand but only had good things to comment about the school after my departure. The children were amasing and I had a lovely four years of memories. The same implications similar to the ones mentioned in this thread were noticible. In many cases It's far better to work out a method of commuinication that's beneficial for all at the school than ranting on about how bad the place is. Turning a blind eye to some of the schools decisions has better effect. After all this isn't our country and in most cases more can be learnt from negativity at the end when you move on. One persons negative reflection of another teacher or a school often creates a snowball effect and decline in popularity. Rolling Eyes

I guess I could say just move on there are plenty of other opportunities but wouldn't that seem like giving up on fixing the problem in a more personal way, perhaps with your excellent lessons and a whole lot of happy students.

I suggest try typing in a search for more positive reviews into google and see what happens then.

Your post doesn't make much sense to me, but good luck with the new gig in China. I think by tomorrow a lot of posters will have taken issue in one way or another with just about every sentence you wrote.

Your flights booked what? How can flights book something/anything? After reading what thread? This thread? You mean the thread you started? None the wiser about what? What is SEA? Where will you be arriving?

From just reading your first two sentences I have no fewer than eight questions. Your post simply doesn't make sense.

And you're going to teach what? English? At EF? As the rather grim tailor said as he carried an epileptic out of his shop: "Another perfect fit."

I have nothing to complain about I guess hence the waffle. Read the whole thread. Does it make senses to name and shame and where will it get you? Very Happy

I repeat: One persons negative reflection of another teacher or a school often creates a snowball effect and decline in popularity. Rolling Eyes

The only way it could snowball.. is if there is more snow...and besides.. what biz is it of yours ... promotion of a school is better left up to those who have been contracted to do so...English first did u say...I for one will be looking forward to your future post ....
