Not me, but I've read about them.
Essentially, you get paid to dance like a monkey (a la Aston or EF) while at the same time flogging Disney films.
Google 'Disney English' and you will find on Wikipedia:

Classes are for students ages 2 to 70 and taught by teachers recruited from North America and local bilingual teaching assistants. All Disney English foreign trainers must watch at least 7 Disney films and are thus qualified.
The innovative program incorporates singing, dancing, juggling, break dancing, wiggling, interactive games, role-playing Disney scenes and other fun activities designed to mesmerize audiences. The program includes discounts on Disney merchandise, Disney-specific vocabulary, Disney sentence patterns and common topics in Disney conversation.
The flagship school kicked off their first term on September 19, 2008.
Advisors to the program include Dr Jun Liu, head of Disney migrant marketing in autonomous regions, and Dr. Renee Cherow-O'leary, the former head writer of La Pabla Estuala, Mexico's hottest daytime soap. |

Classes average only 12 and each child receives individual attention. The program includes relevant vocabulary, sentence patterns and common topics in daily Chinese conversation.

I find it interesting that so many newly-registered posters are showing such an interest in Disney English.
I can just imagine a big pow-wow in Disney's Shanghai HQ, after which lackeys scurry off to register Dave's accounts, to help 'spread the word'.

Made the mistake of doing some weekend work with them. Try thinking of Tony Robbins on steroids and then having to be even more positive then that. Practice your fake smile and happy talk and you will fit in. No room for reality there. |

This sounds like hell on earth.
Do you have to break into song mid lesson?
I'm British and sarcastic so I think that means I wouldn't be employed.
Unless they made me the villan....... |

Just got a bit more info in on this one:
Pay sounds ok, if they stick to it: 10,000 RMB/ month plus 4,600 RMB for housing (that's quite a fat housing allowance, would love to know if they honor that).
Also, it's a 40-hour work-week, 12-8 during the week, all day on weekends, with 2 days off.
Probably not bad for fresh young graduates from N. America (they don't accept Brit/ Kiwi/ OZ accents apparently) looking for an easy way to get to Shanghai (particularly young peppy blonds). |

Imagine the shark who is all style with big teeth and big smile pretending to be nice to get people's money. That is the person they are looking for: all face with little substance. |

The way I understand this .. is 8 hour day, 40 hours per week which would be 5 days .... and two of them on the weekend leaving two during the week as off days...work hours would of cource be during the after noon and evening hours during the week and during the day on the weekends.. |

Given Disney's record of other ventures in China, such as purchasing goods from factories which employ fifteen year olds who, after two years of labour abuse, end up sacrificed for the production of Donald Duck birthday cards, the company's foray into the education sector will be anything but positive.

Add to the fact that in 2003, Michael Eisner, the head Mickey at Disney, was compensated to the tune of $400 million. Walt must have been spinning in his grave. |
