This is not exactly a new topic but I need to ask. I have been offered a contract position with Aramco through an agency as a GC-11 ITC Advanced English teacher? The pay is $7000 a month. Is this a good offer? |

hmmm... I am not sure to say. My offer does not include living expenses. They will pay for the visa and flight tickets. Does the salary in the posting you googled include accommodations? If it does then my offer is perhaps average, if it doesn't then I seem to have received a very good offer. |

^^ Either way it is a very high offer. SR. 26,250 a month is phenomenal, a figure high enough to be almost always reserved for non-teaching Westerners in Saudi Arabia. (actually, at the bottom of the scale for non-teaching Westerners, but at the very top for teaching Westerners) |

Does anyone know how much housing runs in Saudi? Where are you going to be living? |

That's a good question. I will be working at the Aramco complex in Damman. I don't know anything about accommodations, cost or style. |

Very often pay ranges on boards like the "EFL Teachers Board" will offer the lower number for new recruits with the top number being impossible to reach as only Moses was able to live 700 years!
The top figure is used to hook suckers.
I mean, come on, really? The "ESL Teachers Board"???

Watch out for scams. If you have to provide your own accommodation. local transport and tickets, US$7,000 is not so much. |

Dear NCTBA,
Moses was a mere babe of 120 when he died:
Moses was 120 years old when he died - Deuternomy 34:7
http://www.biblebrowser.com/deuteronomy/34-7.htm
Now, Methuselah -
"Methuselah or Metushlach (Hebrew: מְתוּשֶׁלַח / מְתוּשָׁלַח, Modern Mətulaḥ / Mətulaḥ Tiberian Məṯlaḥ / Məṯālaḥ ; "Man of the dart/spear", or alternatively "when he dies/died, it shall be sent/has been sent") is the oldest person whose age is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, given as 969 years."

Regards,
Old John
Just imagine if he'd been getting Social Security. |

Well, I think our poster, Simpson, confused Noah with Moses!
Noah died at the age of 950, Moses died at the age of 120, and Simpson will die at the age between 77.5 and 80 [this according to the statistics of Uncle Sam's CIA Worl Facebook 2008! ] (Inshallah). |
