Hi Guys,

I'm considering a move to Ecuador, and Quito in particular. I'd really appreciate any info you'd like to share about the country, the city, the cost of living, average teaching salary, prices for apartments, reliability of internet connections ( I'm studying online), the pollution, the lifestyle, climate, the schools (particularly Souther Cross), and just about anything else you might want to chime in with!

Cheers Surprised)

Yeah, I got in touch with him last week. He seems to be the man with all the info regarding Quito. I hope he doesn't start charging for the information service!!

Cheers

Justin, when you've rested up a bit, it would be interesting to read your take on the teaching life in South Korea as compared to Ecuador.

Hey Justin,

No problem, Whenever you get time. I'm definitely interested to hear your opinions. It's certainly sounds positive that you miss Ecuador anyway!!

Cheers

Justin,

If you don't mind, I would also greatly appreciate some info from you. I am going to Southern Cross this September to obtain a CELTA, and still deciding if I should stay there to teach or go somewhere else after the course.

I was an ESL teach in China, but...

My current girlfriend is an Ecuadorian (Guayaquil) and her mother used to be quite active in the National government. I'd be happy to bounce a few questions off of the natives for you.

Hey Sixerfan,

Thanks for your offer, any and all information is greatly received, no matter how small. I'm currently based in Eastern Europe and it's going to be a big change if I decide to head for Ecuador. I'd really like to try and get as good an idea as possible about what I might be letting myself in for. Feel free to pm me if you prefer, though I'm sure there are others who would also appreciate your insight. Surprised)

Cheers.
