|

I was initially planning on staying in Ecuador to teach after I take the CELTA course there, but I have been reading many complaints about the difficulty and hassle obtaining a visa in Ecuador. This would be my first teaching job abroad, and I would like to do something more long term by staying put for awhile to keep my budget low and learn some Spanish. Does anyone have any recommendations on a Latin American country where the visa process is less cumbersome and is a good place to learn Spanish? Maybe this situation doesn't exist, but any comments regarding this are greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |

The consensus seems to be that Mexico is the easiest in Latin America for getting a working visa. Pretty good spot to learn Spanish with quite a number of programs available around the country and being the largest Spanish speaking country in Latin America, there are more jobs here than anywhere else. |
