| The OP said he is living with 2 or 3 family members. Probably not the hookers and cocaine type, but who knows right |

Damn impressive stamina if you ask me, which you didn't.
I suspect that the OP could easily save 7k a month if he puts their mind to living within his means. |

They do call Hong Kong the "graveyard of marriages." Haven't specifically heard the phrase used for the mainland. So maybe he'll be OK. |

| I accepted an offer for far lower than aforementioned at a uni in a smaller town. By all accounts, it looks like the extracurricular activities mentioned above may not be in the budget. I hope I can find a gf instead. |

Better start thinking about some privates on the weekends. Otherwise you won't be, um, seeing many privates on the weekends. |

Zero, is 5000 RMB ok for Anyang? They provide the apartment.
I assume the cost of living is lower than the larger cities. |

| Seems to be pretty much standard for universities. It is OK if you don't have dependents, debt or expensive habits. You could probably save half, or about U.S. $320 a month. Not exactly an early retirement plan, but better than a lot of Americans do. |

| This is good news. In my case, I have my retirement fully funded so it sounds like I can live well on that since I don't need to save. |

| Be careful of the gf that you are hoping to find, by the way. The chances of meeting a self-interested woman are extraordinarily high. But they come in very pretty packages. Truly the "wolf in sheep's clothing" story come to life. |

| This is not my first rodeo but I appreciate the heads up. In Latin America, they call them "interasadas" aka gold diggers. |
