|
|
I am currently on a 3 month tourist visa and have heard I can extend it. I am wondering how long can I extend my current visa for without having to leave the country and return.
I will be traveling to Hanoi soon to get it done as I heard the process is quite easy there at most travel agencies. Can anyone recommend some good places to go and how much it will cost. |

It sounds like your a tourist. That's fine. Visit some travel agencies in the Old Quarter of Hanoi and shop around for the best prices. |

3 months. Then again and again when it expires, don't worry about it.
Apparently its actually cheaper in Hanoi, but like I say, its as easy as giving it to a travel agent in Saigon too. Go to that Viet Dream Travel on Mui Bien (on the same side as Go2 bar), if he asks how you know its just $95 say you saw the sign in AK Hideaway bar. |

I just shopped around a bunch of agencies for this, and the price for a one-month extension was the same everywhere - $60 USD. For three months, it varied from $180-200.
What I want to know is if I can do it myself. The stamp in my passport mentions "Fee paid - $10 USD." Why must I go through an agency? Has anyone renewed it themselves or tried? |

I think you mean Bui Vien which is in Saigon. The OP asked about Hanoi. |

This might be too late now, but I got a 3 month single entry extension for $45 at Chi's Cafe in Saigon. |
