City guys are getting more metrosexual, but country guys are still as conservative and boring as ever.

really depends on the guy. I know a lot of greasy, beer-swilling guys who could use a little feminization. Some guys look better metrosexual than others, though. So, to answer the question: In my opinion, it depends. Wow that was a big contribution. I should really think about what I'm going to write before I start a post....

I grew up with out a father or any other male influence and I am very masculine/redneckish/boring/etc...

I commend the men of Seoul, straight, gay, and bi, for their fashion sense. Best dressed straight guys I have ever seen, even better than in NYC.

My own bias: I personally find tons of hair product on straight men unappealing, but that's just me. I like my men a little rumpled, with some more meat on their bones, but I did live up in the unique world of Maine...

Yes, according to my husband, who doesn't think men should have to do all the work that women have to do. Personally, I think it's due to advertisers whose job is to make men feel as insecure as women in order to buy more products.
