I often wonder about this.

Most dudes don't even grow up with fathers anymore.

No more barbershops left. Everyone goes to a hair salon.

Hell, some dudes even pluck their eyebrows and shave their back hair.

Speaking of avatars, is that a grapefruit in Jesus' pants, or is he just happy to see me?

City guys are getting more metrosexual, but country guys are still as conservative and boring as ever.

Heterosexual men are taking over the femininised image, and gay men are taking over the masculine image. It's a good old fashioned swap.

really depends on the guy. I know a lot of greasy, beer-swilling guys who could use a little feminization. Some guys look better metrosexual than others, though. So, to answer the question: In my opinion, it depends. Wow that was a big contribution. I should really think about what I'm going to write before I start a post.... Embarassed

I commend the men of Seoul, straight, gay, and bi, for their fashion sense. Best dressed straight guys I have ever seen, even better than in NYC.

My own bias: I personally find tons of hair product on straight men unappealing, but that's just me. I like my men a little rumpled, with some more meat on their bones, but I did live up in the unique world of Maine...

Country guys have the confidence to know that they don't have to become 'one of the girls' to attract women.

Really? I find men in Tokyo far better dressed than those in Seoul. Men in Seoul are somwhat lacking in individuality. If I see one more pink t shirt or neck tie...

Why is metrosexual exciting? I was unaware that waxing was exciting. Painful yes, exciting no.
Real men look up to lumber jacks and pirates.

Yes, according to my husband, who doesn't think men should have to do all the work that women have to do. Personally, I think it's due to advertisers whose job is to make men feel as insecure as women in order to buy more products.
