| Whew! It was a relief that you are just asking how to meet women and not about asking where you can become a eunuch, which is what I thought you meant by 'alleviate'. |

DO you want a girl or a f-buddy?
For a girl try going to some nice clubs in Itaewon on a saturday where you can actually talk, example: Scrooges, Dolce Vita, Wolfhounds.
For a f-buddy, dig on polly's, the loft, or helios on a thursday night. |

Tell the Koreans that you know that you'd like to go on a blind date. Hopefully they'll set you up. The best way to meet good girls is through third parties rather than in a bar or nightclub. Either that or join some kind of club like martial arts or something.
Or try a language exchange. I also met a couple of cool girls through koreanfriendfinder.com and I live in a small city.. should be much easier in Seoul.. though from what I've heard they might not always be the best girls.
Oh and I was looking at www.couchsurfing.com and there were some hot girls located in Seoul who wanted to meet for coffee and practice talking to foreigners.
I haven't spent much time in Seoul yet but I'm moving there in a month and I anticipate it being ridiculously easy to find women. It's not too hard down here in the sticks so Seoul must be much easier..
Maybe you need to be more handsome =) Oh and making 'funny' jokes about how great Japan is will likely turn most Korean women off. |

| I've heard alot of people suggest language exchanges, clubs, bookstores, and the like- but I have NEVER met anyone who actually met someone that way. Clubs are the way to go, most people want to meet someone there, and those who don't won't get offended. |

I met someone, but she is only for a language exchange. I asked her cousin who teaches with me to find me someone to help me learn Korean. Try those sites mentioned and maybe mylanguageexchange.com. Of course, in many cases they just want to practice their English but maybe someone can introduce you to someone who wants a foreign boyfriend i.e. expand your social circle. |

| Does UB Love have a way to find out what city they live in? I live in Daegu and it would be a waste of my time contacting people in Seoul. |

nah you don't..
you said you wanted to meet a nice, educated, pretty girl.. sadly, the vast majority of this rather tiny subsection of society would not consider going out with a foreigner.. and thats just the way it is.
in my case, i've met so many girls in korea, but none that i really liked. i also want a decent girlfriend, but so often the options available to us seem to just be crazy itaewon/hongdae types who are fun to hang around with but are not at all trustworthy, and have nothing interesting to say about anything. hmm... man, i sound bitter, haha..
in all seriousness though, did you ever meet your ideal girl back home either? you said you wanted a girl who was pretty, intelligent, witty, etc.. well, join the queue! there's not many of them to go around, in this country or any other!
the only course of action i can suggest is to get involved with social activities that don't involve alcohol... do you like music, art, cinema, etc? there are loads of societies you can join. also, try and learn more korean, it will widen your social circle in a big way. |

Go
I just saw the Robert Combas art exhibition at the Seoul Museum of Art (City Hall station). Cost 700 won and lots of twentysomething Korean women there, almost no Korean men. This is very typical. In fact, usually some young woman or two comes up to talk to me about the art I'm engrossed in. Has happened at the new national museum too. Much too much interest on their part, I being a decade older than them, but twentysomething Korean women don't seem to care if waygook male is twenty-three or thirty-five. Turned down two coffee invites myself. I actually go to see the art and brought earphones to pretend to listen to music so as to view undisturbed. You should have no problem meeting Korean women at art exhibitions. |

Hey Fustiancudoroy,
In my experience, sometimes, struggling with dating is like struggling in quicksand: The harder you fight it and are desperate, the worse off you are. I recommend not needing a date that much, or women for that matter (in that area of your life).
You need to work on yourself. Work out. Take a martial art. Learn Hangul. Learn how to dance salsa, etc.. Enjoy yourself. Women are attracted to the laid back person with lots of things going for him.
This also helps during every stage of the date: IF you are enjoying yourself and like yourself, won't be as needy for any outcome, thus you won't be stressed out and can genuinely enjoy your company and things will flow smoothly.
"pretty, intelligent, witty,... English-speaking girl who actually wants to... visit art museums" <<< Make yourself what you want to have. You want those kinds of women? Then build yourself to attract them in your life: Dress more classily (pretty), learn more (intelligent), take an improv class (witty) and go to art museums. Generally, bookstores have women of that caliber. You will love every step of improving yourself, and women will notice.
Of course, I walk my talk (I'm 23 as well). I've always had more success with dating and women when I was actually not trying as hard to get them.
Try it out! It'll work!

i checked the Seoul Museum of Art's website. the Robert Combas exhibition looks great, but so does the Rene Magritte exhibition (but that one costs 10000 won). fortunately it's going to be there until april first, so i've got a while. |
