|
|
I have just looked at the health insurance policy with my employer and I am a little worried. I am here to save money and I was wondering if anyone has got travel insurance for the year.
I can get insurance for $650 AUD for the year and that will totally cover me for all medical and hostpital plus property. If I take this policy out, can I not pay health insurance here in Korea?
I know I must sound paranoid but my friend lives in china and had a $5000 hospital bill for an operation from an accident. I don't want to be stuck with something like that if I fall over skiing and break my leg
Can I ask anyone for some advice? |

I am new to korea, but I opted out of the health thing. I just told my employer that I have my own insurance and she doesn't deduct it from my pay check. I still want to pension though which is a great deal. You put away around 4% and they match it with the same. So as long as you stick out the contract it's good. |

you cant opt out of national health insurance its required of all foreigners here. Besides its not that much money and pretty decent coverage |

I'm pretty sure you can't get pension and not medical... you either go on the books or off... |
