| Basically, I found a little kitten today. I really can't keep it. First, does anyone want it? I have heard it crying for a few days, and finally found it today. I got it some dry food; can't find wet food at the vet I went to. If no one wants it, can I take it to a vet and will they take it? What are some other resources that I can use to make sure the kitten gets a good home? It's kind of an emergency as the kitten will not eat anything and is crying constantly. Thanks! |

It is really tiny. It's head is about the size of an underdeveloped lime. It just goes into dark corners and cries! I feel so bad!
Will the vet take it in and find it a home? I don't speak enough conversational Korean to discuss a kitten's life. What should I say? |

I'd say you need someone to translate.
Does it go to the bathroom yet? Kittens don't start doing that until a little over a week old.
Try feeding the kitten plain yogurt rather than dry food. It might be too young for solids.

| By the way, I have known people who found tiny abandoned kittens and successfully raised them to be healthy adult cats. |

It sounds like its too young to be weaned, poor thing. Cows milk is better than nothing I guess...
btw, if you take it to the vet, they will most likely have it killed (in the gas rooms they use here) because it needs care and many Koreans don't like buying strays. Instead they will pay hundreds of dollars for a bred kitten. |

you need to check that lonelylifetime site. there's a tutorial on how to care for a kitten that is too young to be away from mom.
you can buy kitten/puppy formula in pet shops here. there's a number of different brands.
but most importantly you need to help buddy poo. if it is too young he needs to have it massaged out of him until it learns how to squeeze it out. if you don't do this, it could die. of what, i'm not sure. septic shock perhaps?

If that's the case, I rescind my suggestion to go to a vet. I have a good vet who would likely keep the cat and look for a home. He usually has several dogs up for adoption.
Milk might not be as safe as plain yogurt, but whatever the cat eats is good. |
