Good lord. It's 5:31 and I'm at home with a drink already.
I swear I have one student that I honestly can't stand.
I was playing scattergories with 15 students. They were in 5 groups of 3 each. The Bad Seed, as I will call him for the rest of the story, is basically a 6th grade pain in the ass. He's bright but totally arrogant and a self-absorbed little brat. So anyway...he's in his group and he read out his team's answers. I go around and I get to the final team. That team used an answer that was the same as the Bad Seed's but in a different categories.
Basically, the Bad Seed's team used the answer "Nike shoes" for something blue and the last team used the answer "Nike shoes" for something that smells. I thought nothing of it but suddenly the Bad Seed suddenly starts accusing that team of cheating! I'm surprised by this but I ask him why and he starts basically piecing together this grand conspiracy to get a point in a game. ARRGGHHH! I hate that kid sometimes. So in the end, my co-teacher came in and I gave him the run down and he basically ripped that brat a new one for 25 minutes.
The Bad Seed ruined the game, ruined the class and I'm so tempted to stop playing games with this class. Probably an overreaction but I'm stuck with the Bad Seed by default, he's too smart for the class and he shouldn't be in it but I'm stuck with him
I'm sure in an hour, I won't care but does anyone else have to put up with a brat like this? |

If a 12-year-old boy ruining a game isn't bad enough try a 16-year-old girl who doesn't want to participate but just wants to blurt out the answers. Oh well, I guess it could be worse.
It's nice that it's the little things that really make you feel like a super-teacher somedays, but the downside to that is that it's the little things that really make you feel pissy, too. |

Yeah true enough. I've had this brat for over a year but this kid just hasn't gotten the message. Other kids don't like him and he gets to pull shit like that because he's older than the other kids. If it was up to me, he wouldn't be in that class. That class is basically for remedial students, he's the only student who could string together an eloquent but bullshit theory like that. He's smart but highly unlikable....
I really wish that I wasn't on the bottom of the totem pole and forced to deal with him for over 2 and a half hours a week and as an added bonus I have to teach him EVERYDAY. I can't escape the crazy bastard! BACK TO MY DRINK! |

There's no such thing as cheating in Korea. Test, games or life in general. Cheating is Ok.
Tell that to your bad seed. When he's in uni he'll be using everyone elses answers and cheating like a trooper. |
