Anything that you want to use from your computer to send via the internet will require you to download and install software.

As far as I know there are no web based systems.

You can also do it from Korean websites, it's like 30won per message from Naver I believe.

Yahoo IM allows you to send SMS messages to cell phones. It's free for the sender I think. If you already have IM installed, there'll be no DL.

99% chance you will have to download some program to send phone text messages using the internet.

I use NateOn for most of my sms. You can also receive your messages on your computer.

WTF the receiver has to pay? That's pretty rude.

Whether it's free for the receiver or not, I don't know. I guess it would depend on their service package.

Haven't visited this site in quite a while, so I don't know if there is service in Korea, or if they require software installation.

It's not such a dumb question.. whether you need to download software.

In the states. if you have Verizon Wireless you don't need to download any software. Just from your browser you can send text messages.
