My favorite is probably the classic 'f' word, though it's not necessarily perfect for every situation.
My least favorite is 'coitus.' 'Intercourse' is pretty bad too.
'Bumpin uglies' is kinda funny.

I remember reading a book when a character talks about wanting "a little slap and tickle" that cracks me up. I like "getting it on" or "get it on"...Makes me think of Barry White for some reason....

When I was about 11 my friends and I learned about birds called "shags" in Science class. We loved the word "shagging" ever since.

Though they all refer to the same thing they suggest slightly different things to me

Classic "f word" suggests something a little rough, or urgent anyway

Making love sounds very sweet, brings to mind candles and soft music.
Both have their place, of course. Wink

Shag just brings to mind Austin Powers- not encouraging at all

"nailing" and "porking" along with the local slang "drag(someone) off" sound unattractive in the extreme though.

I favour "humping" myself. In university years ago the newspaper ran a purity test and one of the questions was "Have you ever earnestly asked someone if they wanted to 'hump?'" Since then I used it to get that extra point.

The most vulgar term I've heard was "skronk." I was in a creative writing class and wrote a story using that word. It was very appropriate for the story. My classmates actually told me the word made them feel uncomfortable and they wish I didn't whip it out. That's exactly the reaction I wanted.

Funniest I've heard is "throwing a hot dog down (depending on where you live) Street," to describe sex with a very loose woman.

Yes, I don't mind 'a good seeing to' nor do I mind being 'tumbled' or 'made love to' and 'f___ing' can sound very exciting said in the right way by the right person, but 'shagging' sounds juvenile though rather benign, and 'porking' makes me puke..
