Does an unopened jar of caviar need refridgeration? |

Is the ocean refrigerated? It should be okay in your cupboard for a couple of weeks. |

Does "refrigeration" need the letter "d" jammed into it? |

Ooooh, caviar
Refrigerator, but 'd' in fridge; according to Collins dictionary. |

Just keep it in the same location as when you bought it. If you bougt it from the fridge in the supermarket, it stays there at home. If bought from the shelves then it stays in the cupboard at home. On the safe side I'd always keep it in the fridge.
That what I always strange with marge here. It's always on the shelf and never in the fridge in the supermarkets. |

That's a great way to get yourself killed in Korea. I see un/barely refrigerated cheese here, unrefrigerated eggs, fish. I'd have keeled over a year ago if I stored food the way Koreans do. |

Ever noticed how often Koreans shop for food? Generally, if they're buying something perishable, it's going to be cooked in a fairly short amount of time. Same reason I don't mind going to restaurants that don't refrigerate their eggs, etc. I know it's being used quickly, so my chances of getting bad food is quite slim.
However, the average Westerner, at least in my case, doesn't eat his food the same night he buys them at the supermarket. I purchase a bit of food in advance so I don't have to make 10 trips to the store every week. In a case like that, yes, storing stuff like a Korean will kill you. |
