|
|
I work in a public school, but through an after school program. However, I have to go through all the same hoops now as everyone else who's working for GEPIK or SMOE or EPIK. Anyways they asked me for a police check from home which I obviously don't have on hand right now and would have to order from home. Instead my co-teacher showed up today with a form thats for a criminal record check. It asked for all my Canadian information like SSN and address and my diver's license #, etc. It also asked me to list all my offences, criminal and traffic. Needless to say the Korean government now knows about all 4 of my speeding tickets and my improper stop at an intersection, hahaha. I don't have any criminal charges so I just left it blank.
Anyways I was just wondering if anyone else has had to do this and if you know what kind of check it actually is???
Thanks |

Unless it has your fingerprints attached (in the proper form and format) for comparason by the RCMP to their database, it is meaningless.
(when did Canuks get a SSN? I always thought you had a SIN number. |

obviously no fingerprints necessary and i should clarify, when they asked for SSN, I said we have SIN's and the co-teacher told me "ya that too"....so anyways...it seems pretty unofficial...and the form was obviously for Americans because it was ZIP not postal and state not province...but it doesn't bother me to give up that info, i don't have anything to hide...what kind of background check can they get with the info i gave? |
