Yes, let's all have a good, hearty laugh at the Koreans.

But shall I put it in perspective? People from pretty much every nationality drink and drive. There's certainly more than zero people who are caught in my country, and I'm sure there are in yours too.

This will hopefully stop anyone from going off saying things like "yeah, those damn ajoshis are always drinking and driving. Those crazy, racist, sexist, ageist, blah blah blah Korean men. Korean women, on the other hand..."

On the same topic, I saw a waygookin passed out on the street last weekend. Isn't it time the Korean government banned all waygookins from drinking? They obviously cannot hold their liquor.

I once met an Irishman in Phuket that was drunk & stoned out of his mind at 11 in the morning. Over the course of an hour, he:


- hugged random strangers walking down the street;

- challenged an uncountable number of random strangers to fights;

- stopped one of those Muay Thai trucks (and blocked all traffic for a good 15 minutes) and challenged the fighters to come down and take him on;

- told random people a sob story about being mugged and robbed in order to cadge money off them. I turned him down, and he chased me down the street with a beer bottle calling me every dirty name under the sun. 20 minutes later he was buying me a beer, saying he loved Canadians. 20 minutes after THAT, he was calling all Canadians dirty motherfucking cocksucking assholes - including my buddy who had given him 1000 baht.

- took a shower in the bathroom with the biffy/bidet hose.

All in all, a very entertaining lunch hour.
