Quote:

A man in southern India has married a female dog in a traditional Hindu ceremony in a bid to atone for stoning two dogs to death, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old man married the sari-draped dog at a temple in the southern state of Tamil Nadu on Sunday after an astrologer said it was the only way to cure himself of a disability, the Hindustan Times newspaper reported.

P. Selvakumar told the paper that he had been suffering since he stoned two dogs to death and strung them up in a tree 15 years ago.

"After that my legs and hands got paralysed and I lost hearing in one ear," the paper quoted him as saying.

Family members chose a stray female dog named Selvi, who was then bathed and clothed for the ceremony.

The groom and his family then had a feast, while the dog got a bun, the paper said.

This has to be the weirdest thing I've read in the newspaper for a long time...I wonder if the bitch was attractive? Very Happy Shocked

Any pictures of the wedding between a man and a dog? I really have to get my laugh and just die laughing about this one. Very funny.

How many of the well wishers muttered about "this is never going to last"?

Still an easy day for the ushers:

"Bride or groom?"
"Woof!"
"Ok to the right there"

This is the idiom we used to describe people who go to work and do nothing.

I suppose it's better than eating her/it!
Here's hoping he will be a good husband and not beat her for not fetching his slippers.

Wait for a paralysed woman with the loss of hearing in one ear who killed a couple'a stray dogs to sweep you off your paws. Then you're in business!
