When I was making the title for this, I couldn't fit it in so I thought it would be better to just get all of you to take a minute and ask you all in here.
To cut a long story short, I am doing a project at the moment which is teaching Koreans all about us whiteys in class. I have taught a lot of slang, important times in history for us e.t.c. This is how I like to teach English and after more than 150 pieces of teaching material, I have finally run out of ideas.
I have done pom, limey, wog, our take on fan death, Mike the headless chicken, Charles Manson, Martin Bryant (only Australians would know him), Azaria Chamberlain, the chicken or the egg scenario, the needle exchange e.t.c.
If you have a spare minute, I would love to hear about stuff that you would like Koreans to know about. So far I can see great results through teaching this way. It is a real change from those boring textbooks that most people have to teach in Korea. Thanks in advance everyone for taking the time to check this out and leave any ideas.

Differences between British and American English could be interesting/useful for them. You could also debunk the myth that not all Englishmen are gentlemen drinking tea and eating scones/cakes in nice big green gardens. |

The route of influences that led to rock and roll music (or, alternately, hip-hop). Few Koreans have any idea that the British Invasion bands got their schtick from bluesmen.
A prof. at Yonsei did a pretty cool Jazz history/culture class a couple years ago. That would be interesting too, and you could do all kinds of good YouTubery. |
