I have read a lot of contradictory statements on this. Some people say
you still need an E-2 visa to work even though they have an F-2. Is this true?

Any info would be appreciated.

The F2 IS your work visa(spouse is your sponsor as opposed to the school). They can still ask for your quals though.

Depends.... What you are exactly asking?

You don't need to apply for an E-2 visa to teach. But you still need the same qualifications (ie. University Degree from one of the "Native English" countries) to be allowed to legally teach.

I got a Bachelors of Education degree. My fiance and I are
considering moving our marriage plans ahead if these
new E-2 regs turn out to be too inconvenient or costly.

Might be a good idea. Depending on your job, you may still have to jump through some of the same hoops, however.

If you are married to a Kyopo, can you still qualify for an f2 visa?
