right, but I'm saying that if the woman looked LESS attractive during pregnancy, the male would have more reason to wander off, get bored and distracted, etc. So from a biological/evolutionary standpoint, it makes more sense that a woman has other things happening to her body while she's pregnant to keep her looking good. I would think it's weird to be "turned on" per se by a pregnant woman you've no connection with, but not if you were the person to get her pregnant in the first place. |

I don't get the idea of a pregnant women being attractive or not
Isn't being pregnant a function? Wouldn't that be natures purpose of a woman being attractive ?
Isn't procreation the end-game of all this fuss about attractiveness, courting and mating? Or is it just for the orgasm and the pretty face? |
Dude, not that anyone cares, but I dig sexy legs, feet, a nice ass and a slew of other things I shouldn't mention here that have nothing to do with procreation.
Dude, what turns you on, a woman giving birth?
And please note that every post in this thread should start with the word "Dude". Thank you for your cooperation. |

Dude, I know, as I am CF, but the fact that it's a trend doesn't change the fact that most people seem to view CFers as crazy. |

Dude, not wanting children is totally cool in my book. You will never know what you're missing, but ignorance is bliss.
I remember George Clooney, in an interview, saying something along the lines of "I'm not responsible enough to take care of myself, let alone a child." Kinda reminds me of the_beaver, actually. |

Dude, I agree. Parents will never know the joys of being childfree. Ignorance is bliss.
(And dude, why are parents always trying to make other people parents? Misery loves company, I guess.) |

Dude, that makes no sense. I was childless at one point (only a few years ago), so I definitely know the joys of being childless... And I'm not trying to make anyone a parent, I'm just saying that you'll never know the feeling of having your child hug you and make your heart melt.
Dude, just sayin', is all. |

Dude, allow me to elaborate and redefine. Parents are muddled and be-fucked into believing that sleepless nights, higher expenses, worrying over sicknesses, worrying over perverts, requirements to be home and other restrictions are all negated the first time the sprog mutters something along the lines of, "dude." Sprogless folks require no such self-delusion. |

I don't know. Adoption, especially overseas, can be more difficult than traversing a Cambodian minefield.
Yeah, let's say you find a child. How will know if this child doesn't have a hidden illness, a mental dysfunction, or a genetic disorder? Or how will you be able to tell if that child wasn't kidnapped/sold/produced for the express purpose of being adopted (Baby farmers)?
What if your wife is ok with adoption but gets pregnant or demands a baby later on? What then?
You are dammed 3 ways to Sunday. |

Dude, it makes total sense. If one plans to have kids, one plans life to have kids. And once you have kids, they are there. Forever. You are not childfree once you have a kid, want a kid, plan to have a kid, etc. Until you have a kid, you are CHILDLESS. And you can't understand a lifetime of childfreeness if you have a kid, plan to have a kid, want to have a kid, try to have a kid, etc.
Your use of "childless" as opposed to "childfree" is most telling.
But frankly, I think trying to explain childFREE as opposed to childLESS is usually lost of parents, people who want to be parents, etc. Similarly, I generally just don't get women that spend tens of thousands of dollars to have children (IVF, etc), and none of the CF people I know really understand the desire either. |
