Actually the convicts in my family (5 on my mothers side) were guests of the King (and 1 was pardoned).

I guess you will tell us gay means happy next (actually no nagging women you may have a point Smile )

Actually, "Mate" is used almost as much in the UK, & in the same Oz context, of a friend. 'Buddy' & 'Pal' don't have quite the same ring to them.

Well, tie me kangaroo down, sport, that's a bloody impressive bit of didgeridoo-do!

Then again, my description stands, as English kings were actually "queens", if you get my drift.

Dogbert Mate we have had no Pooftahs as Australia's head of state. A state premier yes but not a King.
