Hey, there's this terrific site where you can get a criminal background check. It's www.criminalwatchdog.com
For about $12 you can do it for your state only and for $18 you can have a national check.
Just type in your name, birthday and use a credit card.

Hey! Did you know that there are dozens of private background check companies and that the Korean government will take only an FBI or State criminal background check?
....unless the rules have changed in the last month.... |

Are you serious? Immigration said FBI or State (and the last state you lived in). If it's true they accept it, then kudos, OP, and Korean immigration. |

| Well, I already have an E-2 visa. My old contract ended so I guess what I'm really getting is an extension and changing my workplace. Since it's before March 15th and I already had the visa getting an apostille stamp wasn't necessary. Sorry, I don't have information on getting the stamp at this time. |

| Actually, I think some guy that used to work for immigrations once said in an article he wrote a while back during all that huff about the new regulations that immigrations would accept it . |

| if you were just renewing your visa and it was before the 15th you didnt even need a CRC. |

Then Immigration said on their website that they would not accept it. |
