Does anyone have any good excuses/reasons to cancel dinner with your boss? I feel like he is coming onto me and I would like some excuse which he will not ask questions or be able to say no to. =D Anything is appreciated! Thanks

if your boss is comming on to you, you are going to have problems. Lots and lots of problems. Dinner will soon be the least of your worries.

Show some leg and a little cleavage. Take advantage of the situation. You might get a raise.

Change the above to my husband/ wife wants me home tonight.

Before you say "its too soon for me to get married" learn something about speed from 30 yr old Korean women.

One month single, next month married.

A gold ring and one angry foriegn man turning up at your school and problem solved for life. Smile

It doesn't have to be true and a canadian man costs 4 beers for an hr. (Though warn him not do the spiel in french).

Hm well we made these plans a week ago so all those excuses will sound strange. I need something more specific, like a story or something that happened. Also I'm not meeting him until about 10 pm (work finishes late) and so the church excuses don't work too. Hmm... keep em coming!

go with the cleavage and raise. it's the only foolproof option in there.

Cancel enough of them and they stop asking you for excuses eventually.

Indeed.
Go to a few at the beginning out of politeness, then cry off them for the rest of the year.

Dinners should be stipulated in the contract. "I will have to attend only 3 staff dinners in the year, and after that quota is finished, employer agrees to stop asking".

Friend just had a baby, "Gotta go to hospital."
You might even pick up a gold ring from your boss in your care.

Too simple.

Every time you should go. Be very polite. Drink every drop he pours for you. Then vomit all over the inside of his car. On his suit too.
