Poke fun at Bush all you want but I'll say this: the guy has a genuine sense of humor, unlike Kerry, he's never assumed that the Presidency was his for the taking, unlike Gore and Hillary Clinton, he's never tried to pass off others' eloquence as his own like Biden, he's never had to belch in public like Kennedy, he's never tried to hide behind euphemisms in describing his own conduct in office like Bill Clinton, he's never had to hang his head low in front of his wife, he's never whooped it up in office like a teenager on pot like Dean and he's never shown a mean streak in public, unlike McCain and countless Dems. |
No, he's just a retard, and as such reflects the nation well. Worst president yet. Would have been awful to think he'd have been booted out of office pre-9/11 without leaving a legacy and my god did he leave a whole big shit pile of a legacy. Unilateralism hasn't worked, and it's spiralling. Maybe a different president might have made the transition from main hegemonic power to 2nd main hegemonic power and amazing fall from grace a little less bloody and more popular. |

I agree mcgarrett, his summer place in Maine is a couple of islands down from mine. I'd love to pull in at his wharf in my wailer but the place is surrounded w/ secret service. It's a shame that Jeb is such a wuss and won't run. |

I should've said "here's my top 5 list."
And on that note, I am including 5 more Bushisms.

He may be a moron, but that was the point of his election; to get unelectable people into positions of power to bring about a fascist agenda.

Hide all that behind a 'likable' personality who's also an intellectual featherweight and you've got the political equivalent of the Trojan Horse.
And certain segments of the population bought the whole thing, hook, line and sinker.
But, it appears the people of the US are not longer interested in the march to fascism. See, a funny thing happened on the way to a "New American Century". A funny thing called Bush's War. |

Yes, America is a nation of retards by your account. Well, you can stick that notion where the "sun don't shine," buster.
Was coaltion-building a unilateral act? The French and Russians resisted our efforts in the UN because, as we now know, they were making a killing from corruption in the oil-for-food program and other endeavors. And China can never be counted to follow the U.S. lead in anything. As for this drivel about "2nd main hegemonic power," I guess you'll have to translate it into coherent prose.

Ah, yes, spoken like the Leftwing nutbar you are. Why those words might even make that tub of lard Michael Moore blush.
You can label him a moron but tell me this: when was the last time you flew a jet fighter, or finished an MBA program in the Ivy League, or managed a major league baseball team?
And say what you will about his presidency, he was a resounding success as Governor of Texas, receiving praise from all quarters. I know: I lived in Austin at the time.
Meanwhile, what are you besides an uncertified teacher of English? |

My, my, aren't we whiny today? What's the matter, upset that I poked fun at Fuhrer Bush?
I don't care even if he was one of the 3 wise men who attended the birth of Jesus.
That doesn't excuse his conduct or his blatant disregard of the Constitution. Or his lack of speaking ability. Or his...I could go on and on.
Furthermore, the Washington Nationals fans had a lot to say to Fuhrer Bush today.

What could make the Nationals fans boo Bush?

PS: Being from Texas, you are aware that the Texas Governor does not have much power, right? And that his friends in the legislature did all the work for him? All that work to pad his resume before the presidential run. Since you lived in Austin, the capitol, you were aware of all this, right? |

Steve,
That quality does not a good president make. I'd prefer a smart president over a "dude I'd like to have a beer with." I'd like to have a beer with Snoop Dogg. Would I like him to be the President? Yes. OK, bad analogy... |

And where do you find these "extremist bunch of folks?" Why in one of the Arab worlds' most secular nations, that's where! |

Wow! REALLY??? You are a ditto head! I think maybe Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson or FDR are the best presidents?
But, I guess writing the Constitution, saving the union, ending slavery, defeating the Nazi's, being the first president of our great nation are less important than tickle down economics. |

There was an implied elipse after "top 5," which, in accordance with the standards of our culture, should be understood to mean "top 5 list," in which case, "is" is the proper choice of words.
...and I don't even watch TV!

He's never intentionally made me laugh, and I have a very good sense of humor (if I do say so myself).

Oh sure, except that everything else in his life was handed to him by his dad, but sure... if you say so.

He doesn't have the eloquence to do this. However, are you honestly proposing that he writes all of his own "speeches"?
| stevemcgarrett wrote: |

Um.... what?
| stevemcgarrett wrote: |

No, he just lies. But I guess it's better to lie about murder and to lie about lying about murder than to mince words over a blowjob? Nice priorities.

No, but if he had any sense of decorum, he certainly would have, and if she had any sense of worth, she'd be married to a real man.
| stevemcgarrett wrote: |

No, he did all his bong-hitting and coke-snorting while AWOL, which was well before he held office.
| stevemcgarrett wrote: |
and he's never shown a mean streak in public, unlike McCain and countless Dems. |
Unless you count the rampant mass murdering and the syphoning off of our economy into his friends' pockets.
| stevemcgarrett wrote: |

Oh yes, I'm so glad you voted for the man you would rather have a beer with over someone with the intelligence to understand how beer is made.
Nice try, keep it up. By the time Jeb is out of office, you might really find a good thing to say about him. |
