I posted this question in another thread, but I wanted to go ahead and post it in its own thread. With the changes to the E-7, are there other visas available to editors and proofreaders looking for work? Or are they stuck trying to get the E-7 under the new regulations? These kinds of visas just aren't discussed much on here, so I'm trying to get a better idea of the situation for people looking for non-teaching work in these areas. Thanks in advance to anyone who has any information about this |

I'm not sure, but I'll tell you something, the best website I've ever found for Korean visa info is the Korean Embassy in LA
http://www.koreanconsulatela.org/english/sub_index02.htm?pg=0201
they seem to stay up to date the most, more than the one here even, and have excellent E on their site.
read through there and see if it helps.
good luck and let us know what you find out! |

Thanks, moosehead. The website does help some. It seems that the E-7 is where editing work belongs...but I'm still wondering if anyone's managed to do it under another type of visa through some kind of loophole as a way of getting around the new regulations? |
