I posted this question in another thread, but I wanted to go ahead and post it in its own thread. With the changes to the E-7, are there other visas available to editors and proofreaders looking for work? Or are they stuck trying to get the E-7 under the new regulations? These kinds of visas just aren't discussed much on here, so I'm trying to get a better idea of the situation for people looking for non-teaching work in these areas. Thanks in advance to anyone who has any information about this Smile

I'm not sure, but I'll tell you something, the best website I've ever found for Korean visa info is the Korean Embassy in LA

http://www.koreanconsulatela.org/english/sub_index02.htm?pg=0201

they seem to stay up to date the most, more than the one here even, and have excellent E on their site.

read through there and see if it helps.

good luck and let us know what you find out! Very Happy

Thanks, moosehead. The website does help some. It seems that the E-7 is where editing work belongs...but I'm still wondering if anyone's managed to do it under another type of visa through some kind of loophole as a way of getting around the new regulations?
